Why Christian Education?
We recognize that parents choose Christian education for a variety of reasons: quality concerns, a desire to remove one's children from non-Christian environments and influences, and even the prestige often associated with Christian and private education. We believe, however, that Christian education is a duty.
Parents are instructed to teach their children the ways of God’s covenant and word at every stage in their childhood development (Deuteronomy 6:9-11; Proverbs 22:6; 2 Timothy 3:15). The stated goals and adopted curricula of government education as it has developed in the United States is radically opposed to the worldview of the Bible, and it may not be depended upon to assist parents in this fundamental responsibility.
